Top reasons to apply through the CGSM
The mission of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (CGSM) is to increase the ranks of African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans in business education and corporate leadership. Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident who can show a “demonstrated commitment” to the Consortium’s mission is eligible to apply. The co-founders of BeSpoke are all Consortium alumni who have benefited from attending one of the member schools included in the Consortium.
Here are some top reasons why you should apply using the Consortium application:
1. Streamlined Application Process
Applying to business school can feel like a daunting task which requires a huge upfront investment! MBA prospects can apply to up to six of the Consortium’s member schools through the Consortium website which significantly lowers the cost of applying to business school. Through a tiered fee process, you can apply to 1, 2, 3 or more schools at rates cheaper than applying to each school separately. Finally, a single application reduces your chances of making a mistake.
2. Merit-Based Fellowship Opportunities
By applying through the Consortium application process, you will have the opportunity to be awarded a merit-based fellowship. Imagine being awarded a full-tuition fellowship to a top business program!
3. Networking Opportunities Galore
As a Consortium fellow, you will have the opportunity to not only tap into the network of your business school, but also take advantage of the extended Consortium network. To date, Consortium has teamed up with over 70 corporate partners and since 1968, there are over 9,000 Consortium alumni worldwide!
4. Invitation to Orientation Program!
Every summer, CGSM hosts a signature five-day closed event, The Annual Orientation Program and Career Forum (OP). This event brings together member schools, corporate partners, and students who will have the opportunity to hear from alumni panels and speakers from various industries. During OP, students can network with corporate partners and even land a summer internship offer before attending the first day of class!
5. Partnerships with Top MBA Programs
